Yeah, I don’t have any experience doing it that way. I’ve set up individual price watches without creating a camelcamelcamel account, and I just drop the item’s ASIN into the product search field on the home page and then set up my price watch on the page that results from that.
My OGT caught a interesting door dash delivery. License plate hidden to protect the guilty. OMGitsWifeys coffee had an oopsy. Sharing to help those contemplating getting an OGT.
Oops!
Great capture.
I should get my OGT soon. Just trying to find a place for it.
How did they handle the issue? Lid was most likely on tight so if Bob Bondurant was driving, that would explain the spillage.
Too many variables to determine fault.
Carried the bag to the front step carefully (follow the drip), set it on the front step, took picture and left. Wifey said it was tipped over in bag and lid was on I believe.
Can’t find good service or integrity anywhere. Very sad.
Not sure if it is my old age creeping, but I think I saw the guy take a swag from the coffee before he took it out. Again, it might be me getting old…
I think you were seeing his phone (in his right hand at the time) up near his face as he was retrieving the bag.
I think it was just a space blanket silver heat bag thing he musta had in his backseat he moved around when he saw the coffee had leaked all over his back seat. I think the bag was taped or stapled shut which is weird to have a cup of coffee in it (and a sandwich or something).
Oh, yeah. You’re totally right. I watched again and his phone was in his left hand at the time. It definitely looks like the top flap of one of those insulated zipper bags. Good call.
Got my first OGT.
Not impressed. Could be because this brand new OGT camera doesn’t always see my brand new micro SD card. First it formats fine but it won’t record. I format it but it never notifies completion. When it won’t record I try to format SD card, it fails.
Also, the zoom is too much for me and my quarter acre.
Not worth the further effort to troubleshoot if it doesn’t fit into my organization.
Definitely worth a try if you have a big piece of land.
Regular OG regular seems to work fine.
It definitely has a certain niche. At first I was going to use it to try and monitor my front door from a window further away but the angle didn’t work out. So I ended up pointing it in a direction where it is more likely to read a license plate than my OG. So in that case it isn’t the distance per se, it is the additional detail the 3x lens can provide.
My OG-T is the only one I can recall giving an SD card error but it was only once or twice, I believe on very hot days, and reboot fixed it. So maybe something about the controller in it is not as good, but I’d think it would essentially be OG with exception of the lens module. I wouldn’t be surprised if it even had the connection for the spotlight but just not activated in firmware. Cheaper to just use the same board than to design one that eliminates a few inexpensive components.
Looks like you “finally” joined the unhappy camp
Are you keeping or returning it?
Yahoo! I finally experienced a dud.
Only a unhappy camper till I return this cam in the next 15 minutes.
I couldn’t find a good location to mount the cam, and remember my neighbors aren’t pretty.
The 3x zoom was too much for me. Now if I lived in an apartment with pretty neighbors with a view to from the pool, maybe.
I still haven’t found a permanent home for mine and have mostly used it for testing, but Halloween night I set it out on the deck rail and pointed it at the parking lot behind the wall at the back of the yard (it abuts a large movie theater parking lot which is frequented by hooligans who enjoy smoking their tires—and who knows what else‽). I set a regular Cam OG right beside the Telephoto and did the PiP thing just to help compare the views. I actually liked the view from the Cam OG Telephoto for that purpose, and even with the narrower field of view it covered a good chunk of the lot.
If it is an outdoor theater, I could see a use for it. Hopefully they would transmit audio over FM.
Heh. Good thought, but that’s not the case here. I think there’s still an operating drive-in elsewhere in town, though.
Yeah, and I said it sucks to be you
I wonder how they manage to roll the tires into a doobie
A year or so ago one of these miscreants doing screeching donuts managed to blow a tire. I heard a loud “POP!” and went to a window to investigate (I’d already been hearing the crowd noise and tire screeching), because I wasn’t sure what’d happened. I keep waiting for one of these yahoos to wrap a car around the concrete base of one of the light poles, because they especially like the lot after a snowfall, though snow doesn’t appear to be a necessary ingredient. I’ve wondered if it might be worth trying to mount a Cam Floodlight back there just to capture stuff like that, and now Wyze has made it so no junction box is necessary!
