What does Wyze Outdoor Cam v2 have log of?

Does the Wyze outdoor cam V2 have a log of when and what was recorded manually by the user to their phone, when there is no memory card in the base station? I would like to know if there is any way to find the logs of images or videos that were captured and to where it was stored if post-mortem was performed on the cam?
I understand that the actual pics or videos cannot be retrieved but can the log just show, when the pic was taken and what was the duration of the video recorded(which saved to the iOS phone)?

If you manually recording footage from the live view in the camera, then it saves to your phone and not to the base stations SD card. The only record of you manually saving photos and videos to your phone would be the videos and photos themselves on your phone

What are you trying to to see?.

Thank you so much for responding.

I’m curious about how the Wyze Outdoor Cam V2 handles activity logs for manual recordings. If someone manually captures a photo or video through the app without a memory card in the base station, does the camera itself retain any logs or metadata about when these actions occurred, even if the actual photo or video is only stored on the phone? I’m asking for general knowledge about how these cameras manage activity tracking.

The base station has no connection to you using the manual record button or manual photo button in the app. You watch the live footage, and click either the record video or save photo button and it saves to your phone or device.

There may be this to some level but this is only available to the engineers and developers when you submit app logs via the app. The information in these logs/app debugging info is not available to the user.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.

How do I reset the camera or make sure that I erase all these minute information 100% from the camera, if I am planning to pass it on to someone else? So that there is no way it can be accessed ever - even by your developers.

While the camera is online and accessible via the app, delete it from your account via the settings in the camera. Once deleted from your account, you can do a a factory reset on the camera. That should delete it from your account correctly so that somebody else can add it to theirs.

If anything is temporarily retained, I’m sure it’s just the debugging information and not the content of the image/video itself.
