View and control Kasa smart plugs on Wyze app

I am wondering if I can see and control my Kasa smart plugs using my Wyze app ?

I am currently using Wyze Smart Plugs but thinking about migrating to Kasa smart plugs.

I don’t think so. But I would suggest Alexa as a decent unified interface across multiple vendor and app gear. Despite trying to minimize it I have 4 or 5 different brands but I very rarely have to use their native apps. (Usually only when one of them decides to forget its settings.)

Sorry, but no. Likewise, you cannot control Wyze devices from the Kasa app. As @Customer suggested, you can use Alexa to control both.

Thanks for the input guys. I’ve never used Alexa but I do use Siri. I just downloaded the Alexa app to my iPhone right now. However, I must say I don’t have any idea how I would use that or Siri to control my Wyze or Kasa smart plugs.
Are you able to give me any idea how I would use Alexa or Siri to control either my Wyze or Kasa smart plugs?

You need to link your Wyze and Kasa Apps to the Alexa App. Link them in the services settings on Alexa. You can then use voice commands or routines to control you devices.

I have found Alexa to be bloated, slow, and unreliable.

I use the Google Home app Dashboard to control all my Smart Plugs, Switches, and Bulbs across three different ecosystems. But, I have Android so it is already integrated into the OS as a configurable quick launch dashboard.

SlabSlayer,
I use Google Home on my iPhone. It accesses my Wyze devices where I can turn them on and off, but I think I have to go to the Wyze app to set up schedules etc.

My Kasa smart plugs arrive tomorrow from Amazon so it will be fun to set them up.

Thinking of keeping my V3 cams and switches on Wyze and using the Kasa app for the Kasa smart plugs.

Yeah. I like the Google Home Dashboard, but their Rule\Routine capability is next to nothing. There just isn’t an all in one solution out there that fits in an app based platform.

Well there is, Alexa, but as you noted it does have issues (and likely more so since Amazon fired most of its staff).

Alexa’s routines and device handling are good. It does a better job of controlling my Wyze bulbs than the Wyze app does.

To expand on what @WildBill said, note that you don’t need an Echo device to control multivendor devices from the Alexa app (or even use Alexa voice command in it).
