Video doorbell v2 doorbell press cooldown

I just set up the video doorbell v2 and I noticed that there seems to be a cool down period for doorbell press push notifications. I’m not a cam plus subscriber. I saw the other forum post about this and it was apparently resolved back in Dec 2023. In my experience though, I’ll get the motion detection and “someone is calling you” notifications the first time, but if I press the doorbell again a minute or two later, I won’t get the “someone is calling you” notification again. Has this bug crept back up or am I doing something wrong? The firmware version is 4.51.2.1041 and the app version is v3.4.0 (640).

The “someone is calling you” notification is because you have enabled VOIP (Internet phone call) on your account. Review Account > Notifications > Push Notifications > Voice over IP calls > (Toggle on or off) Not a cool down but how fast can the Wy?e server initiate a phone call thru the internet to your mobile number to activate that message on your phone.

The Voice Over IP Calls option is disabled. I have In-app and Push notifications enabled. The info description for the Voice over IP Calls option says “you’ll receive an internet phone call instead of a push notification when the button on the Wyze Video Doorbell is pressed”. The “Hi, Someone is calling you at the door” is just the notification I get from the Wyze app when someone presses the doorbell button. The problem is, it doesn’t get send a second time if it’s pressed just a couple minutes later.

Thanks for the followup, I had the dbv2 but have since upgraded to the db duo. I use an Alexa routine for the announcement on echo speaker for doorbell press since there isn’t one in the app for the duo. VOIP is option directly in the duo settings. I may have mistakenly thought you were referring to a vocal rather than a printed mobile notification on your phone. There was a db press announcement for the dbv2 in Alexa which is what I used for voice on the echo.

Multiple db presses are rare at my house and as long as the db chime rang I was good. A notification on the phone was generally ignored.
