Very Poor Night Images with Floodlights

Hi,

Long term problem that I have yet to find a solution.

I have a WyzeCam v3 and my issue is the quality of night images. I have a totally separate PIR with a flood light for security purposes and my problem is that the night vision images on the v3 are fine when it’s totally dark but when the PIR activates the flood, the images are useless. I currently have it set to Auto, Dark, Near but have tried endless permutations without success. Some images below - First image is without flood, second is as flood is activated and third about 5 seconds later

Any thoughts on how I should have it set to get the best from both floodlight and non-flood or am I expecting too much?

Can you post a “useless” image so we have a better idea what is happening.

Thanks - was in the process of adding but you were too quick for me !!!

For me, personally, I avoid using nightvision and IR outside. I turn off night vision and make my cameras use the ambient light to give me color recordings. Besides color, another benefit to this is getting more FPS in the video.

Have you tried this to see if you get enough light for the starlight sensor to give you a good enough image without having these over-exposure issues?
