[Solution is to reboot the phone/tablet where Wyze app is installed]
So I have this new problem with my V4 cams. In my Wyze app (the brand new one) I can see the live feed of 4 cameras: two V4s, one floodlight pro, and one V3. I can confirm it is the live feed as I have walked in front of the cameras and seen myself in the feed realtime.
My v4 cam is the front door cam and floodlight pro is Sauron.
Where I am running into an issue that only seems to affect the V4 cams, is that if I tap that specific camera to see the full video feed, with events, playback, zoom in/out etc. I get an unspecified network error and the refresh icon does nothing along with the troubleshoot link.
You can see however the cameras are properly detecting events and they ping me with a notification and short snippet of the event detected (you can see my spouse’s car notification and video was recorded in the morning when it was detected).
The odd thing also is that this error however goes away if I switch to a different app in my phone and then switch back to the Wyze app with that camera selected; then it gets stuck in the step 3 of 3 when loading the screen.
Any ideas why this may be happening and better yet, how to fix it? I am running what I believe is the latest app from the Android play store v3.0.0 (519)
Same issue here. I feel like a firmware update was pushed because the other day I had notifications about new firmware but now it says they’re up to date
That’s a good point, and noting the Cam v4 firmware version one is using might be helpful in isolating this issue. Because some firmware issues earlier this year seemed to introduce new problems, I have disabled automatic firmware updates where I can, and I waited a week or so after the most recent Cam v4 firmware update before I updated my own Cam v4s, but they’re all running v4.52.7.0367 now, and I’m not currently seeing this issue in the v3.0 app.
