V4 Cameras with Wyze sockets

Alright. So, I just got some v4 cameras installed. One of the cameras is powered by a wyze lamp socket. I have 2 other sockets in close proximity that do not power cameras, but are in a group to control lights.

The problem I’m having is that the lights will not stay on. I went into the camera settings, then into the socket settings, then set it to be “On” instead of auto. They come on but go off shortly after. Sometimes a few minutes, sometimes 10. But always go off.

I have to choose the “restart lamp socket” to get it to turn back on (or toggle fromon to off to on).

I’m not sure what’s going on. These are the first devices on my account (aside from a shared camera on someone else’s account), so I have not set up rules or anything.

I got this camera powered by a porch light on a switch, and i though this would be the way to power the camera, leave the switch for the 3 lights on, and still be able to toggle the light on/off as I need.

Am I doing something wrong?

I also have another v4 camera on a solo socket that does the same thing, but it isn’t as important to be able to control that light.

Cams and sockets on up to date firmware

Seems to be a known issue. See the thread below for a possible workaround about exiting the app completely to prevent it from turning the light off. It seems like it must be somehow confusing the spotlight control behavior (which turns off the spotlight when you exit live view) with the socket control, at least that’s a guess on my part.
