Update. I tried another V3 mounted outside and this time I taped up all the holes, ports etc, It worked ok for a week or so but now I appear to have condensation or moisture inside the lens, the picture is continually foggy/blurry.
I like the V3 but in my opinion its not waterproof enough for outdoor use.
