I have a v3 and a few months ago—I’m going to guess after a firmware update—it began saying “Loading” after a few seconds of watching the image on my iPhone. My wife has the exact same thing. Any idea for fixes? Power cycling didn’t help.
Are you able to move the v3 close to your WiFi router Temporarily just to test the WiFi signal? I get the Loading message sometimes on v3 cameras furthest away from my router.
I have a mesh network so the camera is only about 50 feet from one of the nodes. It is showing that I have two bars out of three of signal.
It also worked fine for three years until about a month ago. I should mention that this is for live, not recorded.
Thank you for sharing! I have also been having this issue for roughly the same amount of time. Exclusively with my v3 and pan v3 cams. V2 and v4 have no issue. Also worth noting that this issue is only present while watching the expanded live stream but not while viewing multiple cams simultaneously.
It occurs after 10-15 seconds, every time. I’ve power cycled all cams, deleted the app to clear cache (thanks iOS) and one of the cams is 5 feet from my main router.
This is definitely a bug and has never been an issue in the years I’ve had these cams active.
Just wanted to chime in that I’ve having this issue as well since last update. I finally got frustrated enough with it to jump over here and make sure it’s not just me. Identical to what you described. Happens on both iPhone & iPad. Exclusively on my Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 (top of the favorites list) once I click to expand that live feed. This camera sits about 15 feet from the router. In fact, all devices in my setup are within that distance range yet never seem to show a signal strength greater than 2 out of 3 bars. ![]()
Same issue here with brand new Cam PanV3. I get about 10 seconds of normal view on phone app and then “loading…”. Restarting app brings it back, then it happens again about 10 sec later. Web feed is just fine. I am 8 feet from router, and my wifi and cell phone strength are all 3-4 bars. SD card works just fine as well.
Watch the time in the video feed on the bottom right. During those 10 seconds, is it actually incrementing?
My Panv3s (and Camv4) will show you a still frame for 10-15 seconds after launching the live feed. Then it finally starts streaming the live video. So I’m thinking maybe yours is showing you that still frame, then when it tries to start streaming the video it is giving that error for some reason. If you let it sit on “loading” for a while does it ever start streaming?
The 10 seconds of “non live” view is a bug and have been waiting on them to fix it. May not be anything to do with your issue it just seems like it could be related. Mine does go smoothly into the actual live feed after that delay, so it isn’t exactly the same symptoms, but seems close.
Same problem.
It’s very annoying to set up multiple cameras with dozens of settings each and not be able to see video for more than a few seconds.
