The tree you see blossoms on is an Almond tree and the flowers are now falling off that one but the one in my front yard just started to show little pink/white buds. It will be in full color next week I think.
Got the ladder out and performed a factory reset then went back through setup⌠Back in business. No re-flashing needed for me. Cheers.
I was just typing that⌠wondering if someone with the issue could try doing a factory reset without flashing to fix this issue. Thank you for sharing the awesome news! ![]()
I wonder how many people are impacted by this new issue that stemmed from the outage?
I tried flashing as part of my troubleshooting process. Clearly that was not the way to go. Honestly, if it was not for our community helping each other out, I would have moved on a long long time ago.
Thank you all and I hope the rest of your day is blessed.

When I first started pressing/holding the setup/reset button the camera immediately responded âReady to connectâ which makes me think that it had maybe reset itself already⌠I kept holding the button anyway though so no way to know.
EditedâŚI got it to work right after posting this!
I was having the same exact issue. When you hear that message, press and hold the setup button for a good 20 seconds or more. Eventually you will see the camera reboot, keep holding the button, and then you will hear the ready to connect message again. Only then release the setup button and go through the setup process. You will then be set.
This worked for me after not having service all morning and several attempts to get help via the chatbot. Thanks all.
LOL - chatbot! Seriously, donât waste your time with that and hit up the forums first. IMO, the community does far better resolving issues than the âofficialâ support channels.
Took the words right out of my mouth ![]()
Hey @Antonius, trade you some fresh snow for those fallen blossoms? ![]()
Iâll have some nice blossoms for you next week.
As others have stated I had to hold the set up button down for at least 20-30 seconds before I could get the V3 to set up again. The 10 seconds as per directions didnât work the first time I tried.
Factory Reset⌠a confusing and often misunderstood process.
One button serves many purposes.
I thought SeaPup was talking about the sea of dandylions in the lawn. Iâve got plenty of those too.
I assumed those were blossoms.
You were correct. All that on the ground is blossoms from the tree you see. I donât have any dandelions in my yard (Yet). ![]()
Cooner and possum bling.
Yes, Anna Catharina possum spends the most time here, even more than the freeloader cats.
Yea, no way am I getting out the extension ladder. If my surgeon didnât kill me, my wife would! And Iâm âenjoyingâ this knee replacement enough that I donât want to mess it up and have to fix something else I damage in there.
As for WiFi, I am using Meraki enterprise grade access points. They will mesh if an AP loses itâs wired gateway connection, but normally all five APs are wired gateways. However I can tell from the Meraki management which AP any particular device is connecting to. In the case of my camera 34, it is less than two feet from one of the APs, but it was connecting to one about 60 feet away - figures. I commanded a reboot of the yard AP and the camera remained on that AP. Next step was to remove the yard AP from my network, and the camera did switch to the AP that was two feet away. It still showed off line and would not connect. When I added the yard AP back onto the network, camera 34 switched back to the yard AP. There is nothing I can do from the ground to power cycle camera 34 other than kill the circuit breaker to the power outlet, but that will also kill the AP - and the camera will power up faster than the AP. The yard AP operates on channel 11 and the one next to camera 34 is on channel 6.
Just for reference, this is a view from camera 34. The yard AP is inside the brick column pointed out. There is a fair amount of brick, concrete, and rebar to get a signal out off the column, but then as you can see, itâs a clear shot.

And here is a view from a camera mounted on the brick column looking back at the house. The camera 34 being discussed is mounted right below the peak of the eves as the arrow points out. The AP is mounted to the underside of the roof a little under two feet from camera 34.

So if factory reset gets the V3 back online, what get the Wyze plug to connect?
Is the factory reset the same for the V2 and does it also work to get it back online?
Did you try this. I only have one WYZE smart plug and it never went off line. All my other smart plugs are KASA Smart plugs.
