I have a v3 black outside my back door. It stopped working during the solar eclipse. Won’t restart, cannot recover any footage from anything and nothing can be recovered from the SD card. My husband noticed corrosion at the connector with the silicone sleeve covering the cables. Has this happened to anyone else? Wyze does not guarantee their products and will not replace it.
EDIT UPDATE : They do guarantee their products now for 1 year. And they honor that guarantee. Completely different experience than the last time a couple years ago. I have faith again in wyze.
Wyze guarentees their cameras for a year. Is this older than that? If not, post a support number and we will see what we can do.
I did not get a support number. The chat bot told me to email them a request. I did that and submitted a log. I have the log ID. It is not a year old yet.
Thank you for any help you can give me. I have had a problem with the audio in another camera in the past and wyze would not replace it. It was 4 months old when that occurred.
Hopefully you got a response and a ticket number from your email contact. Let that play out, then if you are still having issues post the ticket number here. If you haven’t received a ticket number, then call (206) 339-9646 and talk live with a tech rep. They should give you a ticket number when they try to help you. Let us know what happens! We volunteers can’t escalate anything without a ticket number.
I got an email back and they were happy to offer a replacement or gift card. I got a replacement. This was a completely different experience I had for the better. Thank you for the help and advice.
