Wyze cam v3 stopped working and only clicks

… tried rebooting it and still no dice.

I have a video:

What should I do? Is it trash? :sob:

I have the same issue even after trying 3 new power adapters and 2 new usb cables … no response from wyze since last week … sigh

It definitely sounds broken, thanks for the vid. I would try a new power adapter for sure, as that camera sounds power-starved.

Beyond that, if it is under warranty, and you haven’t received satisfaction, post your support ticket number here and we will see if we can escalate it.

IIRC, the warranty is only 1 year?

I replaced the power brick and all is well again.

Thank you.

Hi …
Thanks for the response … It’s just out of warranty, here the ticket number : 1509801 , dated 31 July 2024 … I don’t mind a used replacement unit … Thank you in advance …

Your camera sounds broken, @bhgtan. And if it is out of warranty, then they won’t be sending anything. The best thing for you to do is buy a replacement. Maybe a nice V4!

I’ve been trying to re-boot my Cam V3 and am getting the same “camera click” as demonstrated in the above video. Have 2 cameras; A and B. Switched them when the A camera was not booting successfully- after repeated tries. Never heard the clicking from Camera A.) Now the B camera doesn’t reboot; only clicks. The power cords were left in original position. The power brick issue seems to explain this. How do i get a replacement power brick?

Welcome to the Forum, @ken.macnulty!

So the Camera B (original) power supply is still working for Camera A, and it seems like the Camera A (original) power supply is failing? If your Cam v3s are still under warranty, then you could try contacting Wyze Customer Support. Otherwise, you’re probably better off sourcing your own:

I have the same exact problem and I am under warranty but they say we are out of stock and we cannot replace it. Instead they offer we a credit on Wyze shop for the amount that I paid originally which was on sale, discounted and shipping included. Basically with their offer it means I have to pay again for the same amount of money to get the same product. Warranty is useless in my mind. If I go to Amazon and buy it from scratch it would be cheaper than the offer from Warranty. Why can’t they replace it with a newer version like v4 that they have in stock? And there is stock of it everywhere (Amazon, Wyze USA) except Canada Wyze Store/! Why I should be bound into that only?
