Same thing exactly happened to me with my 2 cameras, same days! Wow
I had the same issue, and how i fixed it makes NO SENSE AT ALL…
if you have created a camera group and assigned cameras to the group, take them out of the group and then you should be able to view all the cameras without an issue. You don’t need to delete the group, just take the cameras of out it.
How the heck that can affect the camera is beyond me, but somehow it does.
hope this works for you too.
DeVoiD.
I reset the camera,
Bought a high end SD cards = to 50% ea. of the value of the cameras
Let camera format sd card
And 24 hrs later, I’m getting the results.
This getting real sad !
I read a msg from the wizards of wyze. They said, -
To just keep submitting logs and the engineers will be creating more updates ?
More Updates ?
“This how I got into this fine mess Ollie !” - Stan n Ollie (a comedy duo 1920’s)
Can wyze please provide a " fall back update " listing of stable software ?
Just like they did 5-6 yrs ago ?
I don’t need my camera, telling my robo vac, to set the alarm, while I’m gone !
I’m sorry, but I have to call out this kind of a suggestion.
reset your router (not reboot)
Do you mean factory reset, wiping all settings?
No. That is the equivalent of telling someone to reinstall Windows if one program is having an issue. Many people have a lot of settings in their router, and people having to redo those over an issue with an external device is unacceptable. If other devices (including cameras) are working on the network, their is no need to factory reset a router.
To suggest that someone should reset their router there needs to be a specific problem identified with what might be wrong with the router. In virtually all situations, the issue is with the external device.
My problem seem to lie somewhere btwn the router n the
cams. 10 days ago, I switched both v3’s to my sim card
router without any issues.
Then strangely enough, my isp went down during my
crucial prep for a estate case.
I just assumed the router had died. So I switched it off.
When I returned, 12 hrs later and switched it back on. It
now runs, almost like new.
I have purchased a backup router and investigating a new
isp.
The app still went on for days, showing my v2 offline. That
too, magically fixed itself ?
I never want to experience that again.
I have no idea what caused any of it.
I do, want to thank all who commented, contributed
comments, content, tips and or tricks. All in an effort to
help.

Welcome to the 2k’s !
really? Can I back to the last version?
There was a way, long ago.
I don’t remember how.
But it did work
This is some BS. Just a week or so ago, I grabbed a V3 we haven’t used in over a year and put up in my recently built man cave garage. Bought an Onn microSD card and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting events recorded locally.
Looking at all my settings led me to believe it was done by Wyze and your post proves my thought.
Guess I’ll do some digging to find the video Wyze put out to re-enable the 12 sec recording.
Pisses me off. I’ve been a faithful Wyze user but I may look into replacing them
Well messing around in my setting I discovered I had overlooked my Detection Zone setting. I don’t know if this will correct the issue of not having events record to the sd card but I’ll know in just a bit
Since you haven’t used the camera in over a year did you update the firmware?
There was a v3 firmware bug awhile back that would display an error “SD card not found” when an SD card was in the camera
I am hopeful updating the v3 firmware will fix your issue
No issues with the camera detecting the card
Now that I have the detection zone turned on……local events are playing back
