indent preformatted text by 4 spaces Replace (existing wyze cameras with 3rd party covers) with the new V3 and it wasn't waterproof (duration 1 month). It fried my sd card and reader in camera? The old camera with waterproof covers worked for years? What gives? I like the lower lux and better picture but can't trust replacing the old ones with v3's. Anyone experience same problem? ; (

I found after one month of testing it’s not
The V3 is waterproof, it’s IP 65 rated.
If water has entered the camera, You may want to contact Wyze Customer Support about this issue!

Could you tell us what environment the camera was in and it’s orientation?
I’ve 2 that have been outside since Jan 8th
thread looking at a slight downward angle (thus the back holes are exposed upwards) which have experienced 2 downpours in Mississippi with no problem.
Note IP65 does NOT mean WATERPROOF
IP65 = Water resistant . “Protected against water jets from any angle” *Do NOT submerge IP65 LED lights, these are not waterproof .

btw I put another one outside and duct taped over the TPU material So far so good.
