Own 2 Pan Cam v3…when night time comes both cams are showing what looks like thousands of flying things flying in all directions. If I turn off IR it goes away except picture sucks (grainy)…help please!
That is the nature of the beast. I learned to live with it. You can try installing an IR blaster or regular light away from the camera and turn the IR lights off on the camera, that might help.

Yep, IR lights will attract bugs but also just show dust, misty rain, etc.
Have you tried turning night mode completely off? The color night vision might be enough if you have ambient light in the area. If not, using an external IR light (plenty of USB powered ones available) and mountit away from the camera, like 6 to 10 feet, but illuminating the area you want, that will also solve the problem. Or if you aren’t worried about a regular light bothering yourself or neighbors, just find a fixture you can leave on all night with like a 40 watt equivalent LED lightbulb in it. Then it will never switch to night mode.
