Setup 2 V3 Cams on Nov 22 after receipt. Updated to FW 4.36.0.125 on both V3 Cams during setup.
Installed 32GB microSD (formatted on PC) to both V3 Cams on Nov 25, after switching off cams.
Set to continuous recording. After some hours, both V3 cams lose the 32GB microSD card,
indicates ‘No microSD card installed’.
The resolution is to switch off cams, physically eject the microSD card,
insert the microSD card and switch on the cams.
Both cams start recording to the microSD cards, and then lose the card after several hours. This is repeating continuously.
Any thoughts for stabilization on the microSD usage?
I formatted using V3, no difference in behavior. I will try with other branded SD card shortly and report results. Thank you all for the responses.
I submitted this issue to Wyze support using email during the weekend, will monitor Wyze support response. No ticket # as yet.
I can not get the Wyze 32GB Micro SD Card to work in the v3 camera. I have tried repeatedly unplugging the camera and reinstalling the card. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the camera. Nothing works
Try formatting the card with the Official SD card formatter from the SD Card Association:
Note: If you are using a card larger than 32GB (not officially supported), you will need to use a different computer-based formatting tool because the official SD Card Association tool will not format a larger card as FAT32 as required by the Wyze Cams.
Apparently both my V3s are from a defective manufacturing lot which has issues with microSDs. Customer service is sending me a warranty replacement shortly. I have received an USPS return label for return of the 2 V3 cams.
I will update status after installing the microSDs in the replacement V3 cams.
When I got my V3 in the mail the other day I set it up at my desk with the Wyze SD card, everything looked good, so I installed the cam and as soon as I did the card could not be recognized.
I will try the factory reset myself and report back.
