Sorry to barge in here, but I’m hoping that you can give me some guidance.
I have loaded the 4.28.4.49 firmware on my V2. I am using the Wyze app (version 2.27.34) on my iPhone to manage the camera, and it does not show the RTSP option under advanced settings. I talked to support (a couple of months ago), and they told me I needed at least version 3.0 of the app to get to the RTSP option. But there is no version 3 available. You all seem to have overcome this obstacle. Can you tell me how you did it?
Sorry to bother you, and I think I might be posting twice. I’m a newbie on this forum and still figuring it out, I’m hoping that you can give me some guidance.

First off, have you confirmed the new firmware is loaded? When you look at the device info does it show that firmware? I’m running 2.28.0 (a5) which is a beta version.
From my iPhone app, it shows that I’m running 4.9.7.798, but I have never seen the firmware of the RTSP firmware in the app. I was under the impression that was because it doesn’t replace the other firmware, but lives in parallel. If that’s not the case, then I can go through the process of reloading the firmware and try again. Are you using an iPhone app to talk to your Cam V2? It looks like I may be at the limit for replies. I may need to start a new topic. Thanks so much for your help.
If you are trying to load 4.28.4.49 onto the camera, it’ll show those numbers under device info for that camera. The RTSP firmware is an earlier stable version of the camera firmware that had the RTSP component added. Its labeled as “beta” due to the fact that it isn’t maintained and updated like the productions branch of camera firmware. It doesn’t look like your manual firmware flash didn’t take and you’ll have to try again.
Well, I’m not exactly sure what I did differently, but I reloaded the 4.28.4.41 software, and that number shows as Firmware Version under Device Info for the camera AND the RTSP option show under Advanced Options. Magic! And I’ve connected it to iSpyConnect. I wish I had discovered this forum a couple of months ago when I was tearing my hair out. Thank you!
Can anyone actually confirm for me that RTSP FW is still working with Alexa and Google
it stopped working for me over a week ago but I was on the older RSP FW version
I just flashed the latest RTSP FW version to my V2
and it still will not work in Alexa or Google
I have tried rebooting router and camera and the echo show8
I have tries unlinking the wyze skill from Alexa I have tried deleting the camera from the Alexa app and re discovering it, I have tried renaming the camera in both the wyze and and the Alexa app ,nothing is working I am still unable to view the camera with either Alexa or google
I have 2 other cameras with non RTSP FW and they are working fine with Alexa and Google
how can I fix this
I find it hard to believe that both Amazon and Google could have made changes at the same time to break RTSP FW compatibility , unless it something Wyze had done on their server end that makes it the API no longer support RTSP FW for Alexa and Google
I have had problems with both o=voice assistants working with my cameras before but not both at the same time
anyone here using RTSP and Alexa and/ or google with the V2’s and still have both working ?
