Using Wyze on my PC

I wanted to get a closer look at one of my videos so I got online on my PC. I logged on my PC successfully, but when I tried to see my recordings, it wouldn’t let me. It says I need to upgrade my cameras, I’m guessing to a monthly subscription. Is there any way of getting around that?

You need Cam Plus or Cam Unlimited to view the camera on my.wyze.com.
Why don’t you just download the event to your phone/tablet/iPad / device, send it to yourself then view on your PC.

Share icon is the yellow box I drew, red box is download.
Use share to email it to yourself.

I sure don’t see the options of downloading or sharing on my playback screen.

There is not one there since you are playing back the event on the SD card.
Just play the video and a few seconds before you get the part your want just record it.

Antonius was giving you instructions from Events recording, whereas you are showing µSD card recording. From the µSD card playback, click the middle icon on the right. That will record what you are playing back and save it to your phone.

I should have figured they were using an iPad in the landscape mode something I hardly ever do.

I didn’t know about the “record” button. It makes sense now that you’ve explained it. Thanks!

The result will end up in your photo app on the iPhone/iPad.

Why would you hardly use the landscape mode on an iPad? It’s a natural way to use the darn thing. What is wrong with you?

I don’t use the WYZE app with the iPad in landscape because it is useless. If I go the to event recordings page and tap one event it will play in portrait mode. My neck doesn’t need anymore exercise.

I just use it for live view of a group of four cameras, it’s sitting on my desk. For everything else, I use my phone. You are correct, don’t need to exercise my neck anymore. It’s stiff from getting old

I wonder how long it will take Wyze to have a fully functional iPad/iPhone app that will properly work in both portrait and landscape mode?

My Iphone woks just fine for landscape view. Just turn the phone horizontal.

That’s not my point, when in landscape everything should be in landscape so you don’t have to turn iPhone or iPad.

Hi friends, I’m going nuts trying to keep my feed live. I can figure out what to do next.
When I chat with support I get the feeling they are reading from a script.
I have followed their instructions, several times. It isn’t working.
I have the best internet that Spectrum has. The router is new.
The cameras are all on the CAM PLUS. I am very frustrated.

Are you talking about live feed viewing of your cams on the Web View site (my.wyze.com) ? or something else.

YES indeed that is correct.

I don’t use the Web View very often and when I do I only leave it run for maybe 30 minutes to see if all 13 of my cams will load and stream. You’ll have to wait for a reply from other users that leave it or try to leave it running all day.
The 2,4 GHz network my cams are on has 100 down and 23 up, seems to work ok.

Thank you for your reply. For me the day that Apple made me update the app is when I started to notice the problems. So my lack of stream is not only my PC but iPhone as well

I have Auto Updates from the Apple App store turned off and I have Auto Firmware Updates on all my WYZE cams turned off.
I am using iOS app 2.50.9 for as long as possible.
I prefer to see what kind of chaos updates create before I update.

How is your wifi signal at the cam(s) in question?

With any video viewing, you’re going to be susceptible to memory leaks in the app or browser building up over time. Wifi congestion is another possibility. The new app from what I’ve seen needs more bandwidth than the old one, unless you remove cameras from your “favorites” and only view them one at a time through device list. If you have multiple cams on your favorites that will stress your wifi a lot more than before when you load the app and all of them start streaming.
