Same issue for me on Wyze Cam Pan v3. Submitted Log # 1619899.
What was the possible fix mentioned?
Have 3 cameras that after couple day’s unable to view any playback. Cameras between 1-3 year’s old. New SD cards.
I’ve even set up 3 reboots a day thinking that would fix. And does, for a short while, less than hour, then nothing recorded.

The card is filling up here and there even though it is supposed to be continuous recording, but playback is impossible. Just updated to latest firmware, but issue remains. Trying to reformat, but camera is not reformatting the card.

Of note, is this morning there was cloud video clip that would NOT play.
I went to video right before it, that did played, so I scrolled to same video that wouldn’t Play, and NOW it played.
So I pressed the playback to access SD card, and surprising, it recorded several minutes including the clip that wouldn’t play.
It’s almost like, clips that play in events, aren’t accessible from SD card playback
And clip’s or continuous recording that is on SD card, Will NOT play in Events.
At least in this instance. Freaking frustratingly wonky
Event clips that don’t play were not uploaded in full and were discarded. It seems to be happening more frequently lately.
It has nothing to do with what’s recorded on the SD card.
Wow. So the fix was PERMANENT for some people? After this springs events, mine BRIEFLY worked properly ( Wyze definition of “working properly”). Only for a few days. But it’s happening again now. Still only happening on the cameras it happened to previously. And as usual, Wyze hasn’t responded to questions or reports.
But, it’s not discarded.
Because I can still view cloud video, IF I go ahead or behind the one that won’t play, and then swipe left or right to view it.
It’s still there, in cloud. Just not accessible from event page directly.

It can’t be both “NOT play” and “still view” the same video. What you see is just a place marker still image; there’s no video. It was discarded when the upload failed for some reason.
In a previous post, I stated that I’d rather Wyze keep the partially uploaded video. It’s better than a picture.
It was for me on my one problem V3. It has continued to work since June 2024.
Well, I beg to disagree, because the “image” on majority of clips when I press in events, plays from cloud.

That’s the way it works. Press image on event’s tab, plays video from the cloud.
I occasionally, however, have a video “image” that when I press it, absolutely nothing happens. Zilch. There is image tho, and
Oftentimes, if I press the “image” in Events right before or after the one that won’t play initially, then while in the cloud watching said video, “swipe” to the previous “image” that would NOT respond or play (from events tab) , I can NOW “watch” /view the cloud video that was previously unresponsive from events. It was not discarded.
I most definitely am not watching a still image at that point, because it’s most definitely the video I can not reach from events.
It’s a workaround sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes it does work. And yes, sometimes it also Seems to be discarded and cannot view.
This particular video IS still in the cloud, the complete video, but LINK from image in event tab is broken and unresponsive. (This has been known issue I believe that was supposedly fixed at one point)
And from many forum responses, oftentimes the SD card IS continuous recording, but the links or method to access via playback is for some reason broken or corrupted. So there are ongoing bug’s that continuously are corrupted or error out that they can’t seem to fix link’s to video’s on both cloud events and SD card playback
And I also agree, a partially uploaded video is far superior to no video, in that case, it should NOT be discarded.
I am still having the same problem with 2 of my 16 V3 cameras. Cannot playback from the micro SD card at the events tab. I have the free cam lite service which it is not available any longer.
Sent several log IDs but the case numbers are closed every few days and I call them but same issue, case is reopened then a week later they close them again.
Very frustrating. Hoping that next firmware update fixes the problem for good
If you can’t playback the SD from events the only other option is to playback the SD from live view if you really it need to, that is what I did for months until my V3 started working correctly in June.
That is correct. I do that but it is pain to find the proper recording as there may be many of them. No other choice until the problem is taken care of.
My SD card access and recording started (seemingly) working finally on or about v3.2.2 (586) ? Not everything, but since around that install a week+ ago. When I say finally, I mean it’s lasted more than that obligatory 2-3 days, over a week and all 3 cams allowing access and review.
Anyone else notice that, or is it just the mysterious “suddenly started working” as intended thing?
There was an app update today, I installed it and my Panv3s still having the same issue from the events tab, so maybe it was resolved for certain models, don’t know.
Just thought I’d make a post to keep this thread alive since there has been absolutely no change in the behavior described.
I’ve attempted rebooting, resetting, reconnecting, etc. App updates have made no difference and there has been no direct communication from Wyze addressing what appears to be an ongoing issue.
Please feel free to correct me or share updates if I’m incorrect or missed something.
Me too
