Unable to login to webview

For the last 2 days, I have been unable to login to Wyze webview. Tried on Chrome & Firefox browsers. The same issue persists.

The following error is reported:

An unknown error occurred. Please return to the login page and try again. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

I’m not having that issue currently (just logged in using Google Chrome on Windows) but have seen similar messages in the past. Usually it’s resolved pretty quickly for me if I just close that browser tab, open a new one, and try again. You could also try an “Incognito” or “Private browsing” window to see if that makes a difference and maybe clear your browser’s cache if it does. What did Support say when you contacted them?

Also, I’d wonder if anything else has changed recently with your network (equipment, VPN changes, etc.).

Thanks for replying. Did try incognito at private browsing in both browsers yesterday, but still failed to login. Tried today and managed to login in private browsing. One thing I did different was not to use my bookmark for the URL but searched for “Wyze webview login” and went through that route. That worked. Maybe my saved bookmark was an issue. I have resaved the webview bookmark URL.

I’m not sure about the bookmark. Maybe you’ve had a funky URL saved? I nearly always get to Web View from my sidebar link here in the Forum (clearly I spend way too much time here), and that takes me to https://my.wyze.com/live. Occasionally I will see something like your original error when I try to log in, but usually it doesn’t give me a problem.

In any case, I’m glad you were able to get logged in today. :+1:

I was having the same issue (different request id) and discovered that my browser was denying pop-up windows. The pop-up was a dialog box asking for a 2nd factor authorization. I turned off my ad-blocker and allowed pop-ups and was able to log in my wyze.com account. The webview tab started loading after a refresh.

I’m having the same issue! iOS 18

If you use anything like Adblocker plus it seems to be an issue now. I had to add the wyze login url to the websites it doesn’t block. I thought I already did this but maybe its a new issue or new updates or what not but thanks to this thread, the issue is fixed for me now. Thank you!

If a blocking extension is part of the problem, then maybe that’s specific to whatever Adblock Plus is doing? I’m using both Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin Lite in Chrome and not seeing any problems with connecting to Wyze Web Portal. :man_shrugging:

Unable to log in to the web app

I am experiencing the same issue (unable to login) in both Edge and Chrome. Firefox will allow me to login, but the camera previews say “Web Connection Failed”.

What Cams are you attempting to view in Firefox? In the past, I’ve been able to view some Cam feeds in Firefox, but Cam OGs have never worked for me with that browser, and the Web View FAQ says this: “Wyze Web View is not supported on Firefox browsers.”

I’m also curious about what, if any, extensions anyone in this topic is using, as @arikbo has suggested that an ad-blocking extension might be at least part of the problem, and I’ve asked for some input on this from Wyze, so having more information about potential contributing factors might be helpful here.

I was simply using Firefox to successfully login and participate in this forum. I always use Edge for web-view.

I too had the exact same issue for over a day with Edge browser , kept trying things , finally allowed site through adblock+ and it worked ! Been good since !
