First, I am a subscriber of Cam Unlimited, but some of my cameras routinely only record 12 seconds of video, even though they have been added to the Cam Unlimited plan. This only happens sometimes, but when it does, the event recording shows the 12 sec red circle button. When I tap on it, a dialog appears asking if I’m “Looking for Longer Videos”? But since this camera is already part of the plan, I’m not sure what to do on the Service page. Apparently, I can’t even remove the camera from the plan and then re-add it.
Second, when I get a notice of an available event recording in my iOS notifications, when I tap it, it only takes me to the Wyze app home screen showing my list of favorite devices. The recording is actually playing because I can hear it, but the video itself is not visible. This problem has been happening since the old version of the iOS app and I was hoping that this would be fixed in your new app version, but apparently not. Very frustrating.
I’m running Wyze app 3.0.0 (16) on iOS on my iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 17.6.1.
I previously had a similar problem, but it wasn’t related to the v3.0 app as it occurred several months ago. It happened when they were making significant changes to Wyze’s backend system. Three of my V3 cameras were stuck in a limbo between Cam Plus Lite and Cam Unlimited. It had the 5 minute cooldown notification with 12 second events limit even though it was on the Cam Unlimited plan. In the end, I had to remove the problem cameras from the app and set it up again. Everything is working properly now. I’m guessing this reinitialized Wyze’s backend system to add my 3 cameras to Cam Unlimited properly.
