Turning on Travel Mode

Some newbie questions:

100% of the time I try & connect via my phone (Samsung S5) it fails. 100% of the time it will announce "Pairing is in progress…please wait’ It will never say “Travel Mode enabled.” However, I can connect to Travel Mode via the Base Station. That said:

  1. How do I know Travel Mode is “on” (and working) when I look at the app either on my phone or tablet?

  2. Do I need to “process” a time-lapse video before I can download it directly from the MicroSD card?

  3. If I am away from my Base Station, how can I turn on Travel Mode?

Those are what I started with - but no answer[s] to my specific questions. L

I’m going to be doing a cross-country trip in early July and would like to use my Wyze Cam Outdoor to take time-lapse videos during the day as we drive. However, if I can’t get it into Travel Mode while away from the Base Station, I may be doomed… L

Try turning your data off on your phone while trying to connect in travel mode.

Thanks. New to this so how do I “turn off” my data?

If you’re on an android, you should be able to toggle it on or off from the notification shade. Don’t know how on iPhone, as I don’t have one.

Will have to try that as I have 100% of any/all “notifications” turned off on my phone…
