Hello. I’ve been using my Wyze Cam Pan V4 for a few months and have recently shot a Timelapse on it. The only issue, with it recording 4k, a 1:30-2:00 minute Timelapse sits at about 600mb. You must download the Timelapse before viewing. In which the download rate is about 1mb/s. This is ridiculously slow. Yes, my internet is up to speed(500mb/s). Some may say to just pull the SD card, but that’s not always an easy option for those of us with camera mounted out of standard reach. I hope this download speed can be addressed, or file size can be significantly reduced as this isn’t a high bit rate video. Thanks.
The slow part is probably the camera’s own Wi-Fi link rather than your internet, since the timelapse comes off the SD card through the cam itself. These cams don’t push much over Wi-Fi, especially when they’re mounted far from the router, so it might be worth checking the signal strength in the cam’s Device Info and trying the download while your phone is on the same home Wi-Fi. Agreed that a smaller file option would be the real fix, though.
Sorry, I should’ve made it more clear. My internet is 100% not a factor here. It’s not too far from the router, it’s just outside the window and I get great speeds outside my home. It’s an issue with upload speed out of the camera through Wyzes server and/or the excessive bitrate produced by this camera. It seems to be over sampling.
