I can’t access the thermostat in person for 1 week and it went offline when I tried to remotely reduce the temperature in the house and put it to hold. It wasn’t taking the setting so I tried multiple times. Seems it crashed. Lots of other Wyze devices are still working fine. I told the Ubiquiti router to reconnect it but it’s still not online despite it showing a bit of traffic with the router for the reconnect. I’m a Wyze fan but this product I’m disappointed with. Lots of quirks. Anybody else have it go offline when you’re need it most?
Unfortunately the Wyze thermostat has problems when connected to a high latency Internet service resulting in the “Device Offline” message.
After several months of trying various solutions I replaced it with an Ecobee.
