The new hookup of wyze thermostat is clicking, I dont quite understand how it could be a low voltage issue if the previous thermostat was working fine.
The thermostat wiring looked pretty straight forward, I did peek into the furnace but I dont think I need to hook up anything there.
Your previous thermostat was powered by its batteries. The wyze thermostat is powered from the Rc transformer. If you share a picture of your wyze thermostat wiring and the wiring in your air handler, I can attempt to help you troubleshoot and see if you need a bigger transformer.
Can you verify that the red and black wires that are both on R on the furnace board go into the same wire bundle as the orange Y wire, the white W wire, and the blue G wire?
Also, that the white C wire is pairing up with the black Y wire?
OK, so first, unplug the wyze thermostat from the wall.
When that is done, you want to go back to your furnace and make sure the power is off.
Next, on the furnace board, take that black wire that is currently on R and move it to the C terminal. (There should now be 2 wires connected to C, a black and a white)
Then you want to take the black wire that is connected to Rc on your wyze thermostat base and connect it to C instead.
After that, take the red wire that is connected to Rh on your thermostat base and move it to Rc .
Plug the thermostat back in, and make sure the power is on. Your thermostat should be powered up correctly and should not be clicking anymore. Depending on how far you got in configuring your wyze thermostat, you may need to reset it, Either way, during setup you will need to tell it that your old thermostat uses the following wires:
Rc, C, W1, Y1, G.
Ill try this tomorrow, thank you so much for taking the time to steer me through this issue.
