Terrible lag on cam - can I fix this somehow?

This is… Pretty ridiculous lag. I have decent wifi, so I’m not sure what the issue is.

This is just a guess but even if you have great WiFi speeds it’s possible that the cameras location is just too far away from you router to receive a good signal. I would recommend moving it closer to see if it resolves the issue. If that doesn’t work try switching the video quality to SD. Hope this helps!

To follow up on @Dragon1 , you can quickly check the WiFi signal to that cam in the Wyze app:

Single Cam View → Settings (gear icon) → Device Info → Signal Strength

or of couse, can use a WiFi signal checker app. Sometimes the slightest change in placement has a big impact on signal.

Also, does the video get choppy and then smooth out as you change the resolution between 360p / SD / HD ?

My cams often seem to ‘know’ when important events are happening and ‘decide’ to get choppy at those moments. Murphy’s Law! :wink:
