Take your money

Ordered a cam before Christmas, Amazon never delivered it, called Amazon it’s not an Amazon order number they said it had to be dealt with thru wyze the Amazon tracking ID says Amazon took it back to facility. Wyze said they cannot refund or issue return. Basically they took my money and ran with it. Amazon awful customer service and wyze equally as bad. I’ll not be renewing or ordering anymore of your devices. Shame

Welcome to the Forum, @davidriley34!

That’s a frustrating experience. I’m curious about how you ordered. Was it using the “Buy with prime” button in Wyze Shop so that Amazon was supposed to fulfill the order? However you ordered it, I’d probably contest any charges with your payment issuer (credit card company, etc.) and continue to bug Amazon and/or Wyze about this. I’ve generally had good experience with customer service from both companies, so reading about this is disappointing.

This was my immediate suspicion too.

IIRC Amazon requires a totally different process for issued that go through “Buy with Prime” vs directly through Amazon. I think you have to use a specific URL to get help with things. It’s weird because they don’t treat it as an Amazon order but it’s also not directly through the merchant (Wyze) and so it’s more complicated when there are issues because of how Amazon’s “buy with prime” contact requires things to go. I don’t have have all the info for this particular case, but I remember others in the past concluded the issue was mostly on Amazon’s side, not Wyze’s. I avoid pay with prime unless it gets a huge special deal not available directly through Wyze or on Amazon (which has happened a couple of times)… It’s not worth it IMO.

That’s the conclusion I’d reach, too, especially if Amazon appears to be responsible for accepting payment and completing fulfillment. In @davidriley34’s case, this also seems like a reason to point the finger at Amazon:

If that’s all accurate, then I’d be inclined to continue to direct complaints to Amazon over this, though this is a frustrating situation, and I can understand why someone would be upset with Wyze for being involved in this kind of transaction.
