App Improvement
I would like to see the mobile app have the ability to log into more than one account.
Multiple accounts
We really need the ability to login to multiple accounts in the ios app. Supporting multiple clients is very tough with the present app and MFA step.
You can share I know but that is not full featured - you cannot change camera settings or interact with events. We need to be able to toggle accounts in the app.
PLEASE read How to Use the Wishlist (link above) and search BEFORE POSTING. If your submission is approved, donât forget to VOTE for it.
When someone has 2 or more accounts, it would be nice to be able to ADD an account in the App and then âswitchâ between accounts, instead of having to sign out and back in every time.
I like the Way Google does this. I can quickly switch between my personal profile, or work Profile, or my wifeâs, or my daughterâs, depending on what kind of thing I need to do in the different accounts. (just click the profile icon and select the new profile, then switch back just as easily, all because itâs already approved locally)
It certainly would be nice if it was that easy to switch a Wyze profile. Now my Wife mostly just stays logged in to my profile so she can have full control of the cameras, etc. But it would be nice if she could quickly switch between her account to use the scale and back to mine for viewing SD card playback or whatever.
I liked the Wyze security system so much Iâve purchased another one for my second home. The problem is that I canât have both systems active on my iPhone with functionality at the same time. It was suggested that I load the second account on my wifeâs phone, but since I already have an account, she wonât be able to share the new account with me to get notifications on my phone too. There needs to be a way to have two accounts active on the same phone.
I agree the app should be able to remember different accounts and be able to switch between them. I have several businesses/locations that need their own account.
If you have a Samsung phone with a secure folder, you can install a second copy of the software under the secure folder, with a different account under that installation.
Itâs not the ideal solution, but would allow a second account in the same physical device.
Best regards,
Kieth
Hey! Wyze! This is costing you $$$!
TODAY, I would buy 10 Wyze cameras for the office, BUT instead I will buy more expensive NestCams because of this!
(If you donât understand the problem please read this thread.)
I prefer Wyze. I have 13 Wyze cams at home. You have forced my hand, and lost the Wyze ecosystem at the office.
Wyze, I have the same request. I have a home network as well as a separate network at an aging parentâs house. I wish to give access to my parentâs house network to caregivers. Sharing feature is insufficient because it does not allow viewing playback from the SD card, an important feature for troubleshooting situations with my aging parent.
MULTIPLE PROFILES (accounts) IN WYZE APP. To easily switch back and forth between.
My wife and I have several wyze cams at home. Which are on my email account. Which I share share with her wyze account.
She has her own wyze account for business. Her clients share their cameras with her,
The problem is that she doesnât want the notifications from the the client cameras. Only from ours at home. But their is only 1 main toggle to cancel all notifications. The only way I see to around this is to completely log out of the wyze app and then log back in with a different account (which is kind of a pain). It would be easier if multiple profiles (accounts) could be saved in the wyze app and then you can pick which one you want to use.
OR
Another fix would be if the account holder can individually control notifications on each shared camera.
I wonder if Wyze has given it at least some thought. It has been suggested i some posts to group cameras in order to differentiate between locations. However, that is more inconvenient and practical as the grouping only allows single type of devices be put on each group, i.e., only cameras may be grouped, or switches, or lights, etc. Grouping is NOT a solution.
The competition has a feature in the app that lets you pick and switch between locations. Once you select a location, then all the devices in that location show up. That would be the ideal if Wyze could do it as I too am in the need of having other devices set up at different geographical locations. I am talking about cameras, locks, lights, vacuums, purifier, and home monitoring in more than one location that can be accessed with a single app on a single phone without having to log off from one and login to another. Logging off would mean no more alerts, so what would be the point?
Please respond to the communityâs comments so that a decision can be made about how to proceed. Speaking for me, there is a warehouse that sells a bundle of the devices i would need for my other location that i could buy and that I would be able to monitor without having to log in/out from the app. I currently own devices of that other â4 letter brandâ but i want to make a transition to Wyze ecosystem, but am now facing the limitations described herein.
Any advice or idea if there has been a talk or any movement on this feature?
Agreed. I have 2 Wyze accounts so I can use 2 Monitoring systems that are at different homes. It is a huge hassle to have to log on and out to view each.
An easier, quicker solution for Wyze to provide us with (I think it should be easier, anyways) would be to remove the limitation of grouping devices by type and allow grouping whichever device the user wants to.
Look into it Wyze!! Please!!
I logged in JUST to vote for this feature on the wishlist.
Real customer - 2 locations, 1 using cam plus - would love to be able to easily watch both, without subjecting others (at both locations) to notifications that donât apply to them.
Pure and simple - If Wyze wants to retain more business clients, they need to allow multiple logins. We have multiple business locations, with managers on each site that need access to their site. We must be able to centrally access all sites at our corporate location for overall security monitoring by designated staff. We just bought a sample set of 6 various cameras to do system/site testing. The cams are working fine, but this single-account app access may be a deal breaker.
We are testing other cam systems as wellâŚ
Welcome to the Forum, @gary.tholl & @MWFITCIO!
I agree, especially if theyâre serious about things they said in their âHuge Updates for Wyze Cam!â announcement video from earlier this year.
