About a month ago I had to reset my Wyze Strip Lights and the group they were in. Why? My house changed wifi routers. I have 2 Strip Lights. One is an OG and the other is a Pro. The light colors I had set to use to sync perfectly in the old group. I change my colors often. New group is off-key now. Can’t get them to sync perfectly by turning on/off: music mode and auto-color (which use to work for me). Sometimes I can get the lights to sync perfectly with my auto on/off rules. Any tips or better solutions to get my strip lights sync perfectly again? Thank you in advanced!
P.S. I use my Strip Lights in my bedroom so my neighbors can enjoy my favorite sports teams’ colors and to signify holidays! Lol
I see that this has been hanging out there for a couple of weeks without an answer. Have you found a solution?
Reading your post, I don’t understand what you mean by “sync” and “off-key”. Are you talking about a color matching issue, a timing issue, or something else? A more detailed description of what you’re trying to accomplish might be helpful.
Thanks for that additional detail. What is it you’re trying to accomplish, though? I imagine maybe you’re trying to use Effects on a group and not seeing things transition together at the same time. Is that what’s going on?
When you said that you “reset” the Light Strips and their group, did you delete/recreate the group, do a factory reset of the Light Strips, something else? If you feel like they’re acting wonky and don’t have a bunch of custom settings/scenes you need to save, then I’d be inclined to try the factory reset (if you haven’t already done that) and stick 'em in a new group.
I have two Light Strips and one Light Strip Pro, but unfortunately they’re permanently installed in two different rooms (no Pro within easy visibility of a regular Light Strip), so any tinkering/testing I could do on my end is unlikely to help you much.
No problem. I want all the light strips sync together as one as my goal. Correct to, “I imagine maybe you’re trying to use Effects on a group and not seeing things transition together at the same time”. I did factory reset the lights and delete/recreate the group. But I had no luck getting them to sync together again as one after trying that. Guess I’ll have to keep playing around and keep trying. Thank you for your input!
