Strange white orbs flying around?

I am a new user of Wyze and I just started using 3 new aquare cams and I am very happy with everything. Two ays ago I was reviewing my motion detections. They happenened during the night while I was sleeping. On four of the recordings (in infrared) I observered white spheres zipping by the camera and activating it. They are about 4" to 5" big and are flying at different speeds. Anyone else have this issue?

Wow, thank you SO much, mine are huge when they get closer to the cam. I would love to attach it and show you but I’m not sure how to do that. I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night, I am agnostic and and don’t believe in spirits, at least I’ve never seen any. I was really confused about this. I will try to post mine. THANK you so much! How did you answer me so quickly? Wow!

When I first got my camera, I experienced the same thing and it really freaked me out until I realized it was IR lights reflecting off the dust and gnats.

 haha, I’m SO relieved. Whew! I’ll call them dust ghosts from now on.

I’ve noticed the same thing with my several outdoor cam pans, and arrived at the same conclusion. Looks almost like when oblique sunlight enters an SLR lens, a string of starbursts or other geometric patterns.

Seems like we could ask Wyze to develop tiny wiper systems to install around the oculus area of cams…

-OR-

Zeiss and other alcohol wipes around the lens & IR emitter areas every couple of months seem to clear this feedback effect nicely.

Wait until you see fog through the IR. It looks like schools of thousands of ā€˜orbs’ shooting through the air - first fast, then slow, then changing direction on a dime.

Wow! ;o

That’s a lot of spirits. I believe it tho. Certainly. Captured for the first time in history thanks to WYZE cam.

Yes, they are flying bugs and they can look huge when very close to the cam. They like the UV LEDs

I have them too in just one room. I thought maybe dust or bugs, but this room is in the middle of the house without a window. I’ve looked at it live and there may be a bunch go back to the camera 5 min later and none. I live in a super old Victorian house, and someone died in there. I don’t know but the house is happy, not scary, so I just ignore it now

I have several cameras, one of them is inside my garage. It has the same ā€œorbsā€ at night. I have found that it is sometimes small insects or dust particles (it doesn’t take something large to cause this). It is usually one ā€œorbā€ that I see at a time flying through the field of view. I don’t know where your camera is located, but it could be something like what I have found.

Yep!! At first I was shocked but now I really think it’s kind of cool. It’s just dust and pollen floating around in the air.
