Strange changes for events and notifications

Perhaps Wyze is making some headway with this issue. If only they would be more transparent with their subscribers. Today was a good day, only 1 cam got involuntarily switched, a VDBv2. All other cams are presently stable. The doorbell switched back this morning to smart detections is holding steady and I did not log out of the app.

Wyze, transparency goes a very long way in the goodwill category.

Seemingly random, two of my v4s reverted to All Motion this morning. Will clear my cache and see if that helps.

It stopped randomly auto switching to ā€œAll Motion Eventsā€ for my V3 cameras today. I don’t know if it is recent Android app update or Wyze made some backend changes.

I still get the occasional graphical error bug in Event Recording where it says I’m on ā€œAll Motion Eventsā€, but if I go out and go back in to ā€œrefreshā€ the settings then it will change back to ā€œSmart Detection Eventsā€.

Cam V3 FW: 4.36.11.8391 & 4.36.12.9751 beta
Android app version: v2.50.6 (469)
Plugin version: 2.50.0.24

Sorry, I have to pass on a fix. Just found 5 cams and a vdbv2 switched. Cams included v3, panv3 and floodlight. Others are currently scheduled off and I did not check them. This is a long way from being fixed.

So I guess ā€œall’s well that ends wellā€ as the saying goes. It has now been over 48 hours since I’ve had a cam switched from smart detection to all motion. I appreciate this getting fixed regardless of how. Nonetheless, it never should have started happening to begin with.

I’m still looking for the transparency from Wyze acknowledging the issue; what caused it; and that it has been fixed and not just leave it up to random discovery.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t recall a post from Wyze Support or Development addtessing the issue.

Probably because the fix involves only the backend.

My one stupid V3 changes about every three days from smart events to All motion.

I’m still haven the detection issues. All three cameras are not recording all events everytime when walking by this is a big concern. I’ve been a four year customer awaiting a responce from support on this issue.

Are the cams all the same model? What about detection settings, what are they? Continuous or smart events. Detection zones created? If so, any changes to them and did you save each time? Notifications checked for record, notify or both when applicable. What about notifications under app account?

I am getting over- notified because I have detections set very high, but not at the max. Depending on the cam settings range from 40% to 80%. I did a lot of tweaks before I decided to focus on cams as unique on their own, even the same models paying attention to the distances in the detection field I wanted. I only do smart detections, no continuous.

Maybe post a few screenshots. Or if interested, post to email, I can post my email address here.

I wouldn’t do that. This is a public forum and your email address will be visible to everyone in the world.

I know. Would have masked it in some manner.
