Strange Behaviors with Vac?

  1. It is a one-room cleaner, has worked fine since I got it several months ago. Today it seem to have finished, I heard the vacuum power noise stop, but the vac kept running around for like 5 minutes, just wandering around, no vacuuming at all, then it docked. It still had 75% power.

  2. It also has trouble navigating around my desk chair, it gets in between two of the five legs and just bounces there. It also gets caught on a rug corner that sticks up a bit. What is the best way to correct it? Do I leave it alone, or nudge it, or pick it up and put it elsewhere?

It did 111’ in 21 minutes.
Thanks.

I have a large area rug in the living room that has a tendency to curl up one corner so I used carpet tape to hold it down. Not aware of any method to have the vacuum approach from a different direction.

My robot vac is under the kitchen table.

I have to move two chairs so it can get in and out. If someone pushes a chair back, ‘Sharon’ wanders around looking for a home. Wyze recommends 1.5 feet on both the left and right sides, and 4.5 feet directly in front of it. Someone modified a cabinet with an automatic door that their robot vac could slide into and then the door would close.

What firmware is the vac running? My details page shows ‘Sharon’ is running 1.6.202

Is the app current?

As a last resort you could delete the map and create a new one.

@waudio4all,

I’ve had ours about 2 months now. The first time I used it it got stuck about 5 times. Biggest problem was end tables with skinny legs. Robby (the robot) would get stuck bouncing off the legs, same as @TomG described his chair.

No-go zones are your friend. It took a while to get them all setup but once in place Robby no longer gets stuck. BTW, if it does get struck I pick it up and move it about 5 inches. It usually figures it out.

p.s. Best $100 I’ve spent in a long time😅
