[SOLVED] "No video available at this time"

@WyzeMengtingHu , for whatever is worth, all my cameras are set to continuous and they are on Cam Plus and Cam Lite and occasionally I get the same error. Getting in and out of the interface fixes it for me.

If only that was the case for me. Would not have had the restarts and factory resets if that procedure had worked when I did do that.

The timeline was between events because that is where I placed it. The results are the same with the timeline being on the event. That was to show how multiple events are being displayed. Once again you are requesting a log for a known issue. And once again the camera has been boxed up and replaced with another cam. Perhaps @bryonhu is waiting to submit a log. Maybe there is a way to append or update the previous log. If not, then I’m okay with it not being resolved. I’ve moved on. If I change my mind tomorrow, I’ll unbox it and send a screenshot in a log of a continuos event with the timeline on the event. It won’t make a difference.

FYI - Isn’t it obvious when there aren’t any green activity bars showing on the timeline display?

You gave up on Wyze as I and many others have….

I am very happy with all my Reolink 4k cameras.

So much so that Wyze cams are only used for Non-Security needs due to the unreliability of Wyze cams and Services.

Wyze just makes Toy cameras with constant bug ridden updates, not something most people want to deal with.

Wyze originally started out on a whole different premise but now all they are is a subscription based poor quality camera ecosystem.

In the end other non-subscription based cameras end up being cheaper after factoring in the subscription fees and replacing failed cameras (that somehow fail out of warranty)

Wyze is just junk :wastebasket:

@bryonhu - Sorry to disappoint, but you misinterpreted my comment that I have moved on. I meant that I had moved on from the cam pan v3 sdcard issue.

Eventually maybe when you grow tired of Wyze issues you may actually move on

It is nice not having to deal with random issues that always seem to plague Wyze updates and having a system you setup and forget because it just works.

For the few dollars difference having better equipment without paying a subscription to use it is Great.

I’m trying not to be a participant in the Pay To Play movement.

@WyzeMengtingHu, @WyzeEnTing

I did unbox the cam pan v3 that was the subject of the log id 1974704 with the intent of sending additional screenshots of the sdcard timelines in a new log to satisfy your need to see the timeline directly on an event. This made no sense to me as you could see no event green bars were displayed in the image.

The cam is now in a state of failing. It does not connect or will only stay connected for a minute or so or less. I am getting code 3005 consistently. Multiple restarts or factory resets have not resolved the camera connection. The setup is completed successfully but when the camera attempts to start the livestream, after the 3rd failed attempt the code pops up in the display.

My time and effort are worth more than the cost of a cam pan v3, of which I now have 2 that are going to basement storage.

I understand your position. A post I just made reflects more frustration.

Where is the fun in that :winking_face_with_tongue:

Mengting,

Please see log files from two separate cameras that started experiencing the issue again today:

Please advise.

Thank you!

Drawing the same conclusion as others here and looking into other brands for replacement now.

I really have liked the WYZE product for the price point but the unreliability has been exhausting when you try to rely on it for actual home security.

I’ll probably keep using mine for unimportant stuff but will drop the CamPlus subscription when it expires next month.

I’m not. When I navigate to Settings ➜ MicroSD Card for the problem Cam, I’m sometimes seeing it show the “Loading…” message for ~30 seconds before timing out (I think that’s what’s happening) and then failing to show the presence of a card even though I can go back to the Live Stream screen, select SD Card to view the timeline, and see the green recording strip (and then failure to show playback). The failures are all over the place with this one problem Cam Pan v3, yet the older one (Cam Pan v3 with earlier Activation Date and same current production firmware version) works as expected.

That’s what was happening two days ago. Today I’m not seeing the green strip on the timeline (I have recording set for Continuous and almost always do) though the MicroSD Card screen in Settings shows the presence of the card and indicates that some recording has taken place since it was reformatted and reinstalled. I haven’t yet pulled it to see what the camera has written to it.

I agree. That at least gets them more data. I want to play with this device some more and be able to provide a better description of what I’m seeing before I submit another log, but I’ve been pulled in a few different directions and haven’t yet devoted much time to this particular product and problem lately.

 This has also been my recent experience.

@PanCamJeff @Crease

For Cam Pan V3 on FW 4.50.14.3339, is there any microSD continuous recording footage on April 22 2025 at around 3pm on the Wyze app?

Are you sure you mean

and not 22 August 2025? I’ve had cards in and out (and formatted and reformatted) of this thing a number of times since then, so I have no idea if it even had a card in it back in April.

If you’re asking about 22 August 2025, then my “good” Cam Pan v3 shows footage from continuous microSD recording. The “bad” Cam Pan v3 is currently giving me a “MicroSD Card Not Supported” message even though it’s a good card that I reformatted last week and inserted into the camera (maybe Wednesday or Thursday?).

What’s the nature of the question about this specific date?

2025-08-25T23:11:10Z Edit: Oh, asking about firmware build date, maybe? I’ll have to pull the card to check. The Wyze app and/or camera isn’t recognizing the card that’s currently in the device, so I’d have to grab the card itself to see what the file structure shows if that’s what you’re asking about.

This may not be your issue, but after a few years of use, I have had different model cameras report that there was no SD card, and I cannot view the playback, saying “no video at the specified time”, but I have confirmed that it thinks there is a card present, and the camera says there is space occupied on the card.

In all cases, when I have taken the card out and looked at it, the video recordings have stopped at some point. Looking further at the card and its contents, I have found in each case, that the card reports that it is write locked, and cannot be written to or deleted from or formatted.

So the problem is, that the cards have ‘worn out”, and can no longer be written to, so the camera reports no card available.

These have all been “regular” cards, not high endurance cards. I have since switched to the high endurance variety cards, and it has been several years now, and I have not have it happen since then.

That’s basically it. April 22 2025 3 pm is the firmware build date of FW 4.50.14.3339 for Cam Pan V3. However, I can’t confirm if Cam Pan V3 on FW 4.50.14.3339 will auto restart by itself when you are unable to access the internet for more than 30 min (to access the NTP server). It is harder to know on a relatively full microSD card because by design older dates get overwritten first and the firmware build date is almost always older. Thus, it is much easier to find out on a recently formatted microSD card as it should still take couple days to fill up.

IMO, this is a major flaw because when you want to look for the missing footage it is immediately starting to get overwritten already when the internet connection is restored on a full microSD card.

Anyways, this seems to be a completely different issue as you can’t even detect the microSD card.

I don’t know. This thing with microSD cards and some (not all) Cam Pan v3s has just felt like that issue with Cam v3s and microSD cards that they seemed to eventually fix last year, so I’m not sure where the root cause is. What the problem child Cam Pan v3 tells me now when I hit the SD Card icon is “Unsupported MicroSD card detected. Do you want to format the MicroSD card now?” When I select the “Go to Settings” option, though, the resulting screen tells me “MicroSD card is not available”. So the camera/app detects the card…except that it doesn’t?

I’m just glad to see someone from Wyze taking an active interest in this issue and watching this and a related topic.

Hopefully the work on RTSP will address that to some degree and that will provide some remedy for users of

:crossed_fingers:

Mengting,

Have you had a chance to look at the logs on my issue? It’s been a couple weeks now and I’m just checking for status.

Please advise.

So tired of this “No Video Available” SD card BS on the cam pan v3 the piece of junk is free to take, see other post offering free pan cam v3

Tired of Wyze and their garbage :wastebasket:
