Add me to the list of people with inaccessible SD cards. I have two v3 pan cams and both have failed in this way. It was a flakey and gradual decline…. Seemed to randomly stop recording to SD, but in general a restart would fix it. But the restart no longer fixes the problem. I have swapped cards, reformatted, reflashed old firmware, etc. None of the solutions last. And wyze support doesn’t really care since I’m past warranty.
And add me also! Problem started several months back, I’m thinking after a Firmware update. Have sometimes got it working temporarily after resets, SD ejections, Various Formats, settings changes etc. you name it & am now entirely over it. I used to LOVE my Pan V3 & recommended to friends now it’s a P.I.T.A.. Whatever happened to “If it ain’t broke - don’t fix it”? I see so many people on this Forum with same/similar issues. It seems like Wyze is trying to force me to subscribe to cloud based. I initially purchased this camera because of the local SD recording feature without need for cloud subscription. Very disappointed.
This crap has been going on for a few years now. It’s not sd cards, it’s not power supply and it not length of USB cable. Its the camera. My first one quit last year. I purchased another and it just started happening with the new one. Now I have 2 junk pan cam 3s that are out of warranty. WYZE has known about this all along. Obviously they don’t know how to fix it or they don’t care to. No more WYZE cams for me.
For the record, my Cam Plus subscription was up for renewal in a few weeks and I cancelled it.
Used the $100 to step over to a different ecosystem. Already grateful I switched, much better experience so far.
I’ll keep my WYZE cams around for a couple Live-Spot Check cases like monitoring 3D Printing, but will not be relying on any recordings or paying any money towards subscriptions.
Good luck everyone.
Just posting an update, I don’t expect any positive or fixable feedback.
I had successfully recovered a cam pan v3 from the sdcard “no video available” nightmare. That camera has now failed again for sdcard playback. Cloud playback still good for 14 days and all smart functions are operating. The smart event icons are showing along with a number for how many events. Noteworthy is the lack of any timeline green bars/lines depicting event recorded video. All notifications including Alexa routines and announcements are functioning perfectly, The sdcard is not full, only about 24% of a 256gb sandisk high endurance card.
I was hoping to upgrade to the cam pan v4 or duo cam pan but it is too early in their release for me to consider, especially the cam pan v4 from troublesome comments seen here in this forum. Choice will probably be the duo cam pan. I might consider pairing a regular v4 with the sdcard failed cam pan v3 since everything else works on it. I could use the v4 for sdcard functions since I have 3 on a shelf waiting for use.
Oh well, moving on for now in anticipation of what might be available for sale on “Black Friday “,
I just replaced a V4 that’s having connection problems, which I traced to its SD card drive malfunctioning. As long as I only view, the camera has no problem streaming. But as soon as I read from the SD card, it starts disconnecting. I happen to have a spare V4. In addition, there is a spare V3 Pro camera, but it is plagued by numerous issues.
Mengting,
Have you had a chance to look at the logs on my issue? It’s been severwl weeks now and I’m just checking for status.

Please advise.
Back on the original topic of “No video available at this time”, I have found that when this happens on My Pan Cam V3 cameras (and other cameras with this same problem), that rebooting/restarting the cameras will sometimes get the cameras to start recording again. When I check the past recordings, sometimes the video from past days will then show up, and sometimes it won’t and it just starts recording at the current time.
This seems to happen more often on my Pan Cam V3 cameras, but I have had a few problematic V3 cameras with this issue too.
The cameras that have had the problem are on long USB extension cables (sometimes up to 30 ft extensions), so I suspect that they are probably under-powered at bit. If I revert back to the original 5 ft cables, or if I use a power supply that can supply more amps, this seems to help quite often, especially on the Pan Cam V3 cameras, which require more power.
I originally used standard SD cards in these cameras, and in many cases the cards have died after many months of working ok. When I remove the SD card and look at them on my computer, they are now permanently “write locked”, and stopped recording at a certain point. I have switched to the High-Endurance SD cards since then.
I’m not saying that this will always work, and this may not work for others, but at least for me, if I change one of both of these factors, then the issue seems to go away, and generally does not come back, and I have not had problems with the cameras with these problems for many months now.
B57-
I used to think it was a longer cord issue too, but others have reported same issue using standard cables.
I have officially switched away from WYZE. I bought some TAPOs and having a much better experience, but I took my V3 Pan and set it up back on the standard cable after I took it down and issue continued. Also- had been using a std WYZE branded SD card too.
I got optimistic when they pushed new firmware the other day. Reset the SD Card and it was working again to start but it quit once again within 24 hours.
Cancelled my CamPlus subscription and replacing all cameras. I mean, now that I have something different that works so much better, I’m really mad at myself for not switching sooner. Other stuff is a -little- more expensive to buy, but money well spent! - I mean with RTSP built in I am now streaming to DVR software for recording, and no more subscription makes up for the cost difference.
Okay, I decided to take matters into my own hands to investigate this further.
The other day I picked up two new Wyze Cam Pan V3s on the Wyze Black Friday sale. I activated them and they work fine with every single of a dozen or so SD cards that my five (5) existing cameras will no longer display video from. Same current firmware. All the existing cameras have been factory reset and reactivated. They will not display video from any brand or capacity of SD card that has worked in the past. One by one, over 3-5 months, each existing camera has encountered this flaw. Some of them are outside, and some are indoors. There is no rhyme or reason why this is happening
I shall note that I have sent logs for MengtingHu in the past, with no response.
I am willing to return these cameras for Wyze to study. The cameras are out of warranty, but in this situation I am asking for an exception. I am willing to eat the costs of two, as I just got two new one’s for Black Friday, but as a consolation I would like a courtesy replacement of the other three. I need two (2) white, and one (1) black. Reach out to me via a private massage.
I thought about buying a couple replacement cam pan v3’s during Black Friday sales and decided against it. Even decided to forego the newer models. I have decided not to give anymore financial support until it resolves some if the many outstanding issues that are hardware and/or firmware related that it is dragging it’s feet fixing. There just comes a point in time when ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! even for a longstanding user and supporter.
I am in active contact now with Wyze Tech Support to resolve this. Will post additional info.
As the thread starter I wanted to mark this thread as “solved”, at least for myself.
In summary, I had tried numerous brands an sizes of SD cards, factory reset the cameras in question, manually reloaded firmware, and sent logs to Wyze. Sometimes a camera would display SD video for a little while, but as you scanned hours or days in the timeline it would just stop doing so and display “No video available at this time”.
After working with @WyzeMengtingHu it was decided that the issue would be escalated and the cameras would be sent back to Wyze, hopefully for analysis. Mengting coordinated with Customer Support to have the cameras in question replaced, and I have received the new ones and set them up with no issues.
I’d like to publicly express my appreciation to @WyzeJasonJ , @WyzeMengtingHu , as well as Estefane in Customer Support in resolving my issue.
Hi
I also have this issue. Pls advise as error is showing ‘no video available at this time’ about 24-48 hrs after each time I format the sd card for my pan cam V3. Camera newly purchased/received in Jan 2026.
Send the cam back for refund and stay away from the cam pan v3’s. It’s an internal hardware issue and would cost WYZE to much money to fix it so they just keep quiet about it other than telling you to send a log which goes into their trash can. And they keep selling them. Pretty crappy way of doing business. I have 2 junk cam pan v3’s. Not buying any more cams from them.
That’s Wyze, Profit is all that matters….
Promise a fix after the sale….
Wyze just sells cameras that are made by another company (OEM) and TRIES to make their Firmware/Software work correctly.
As they add new models built by who knows they TRY to make all these cameras to work in one app, which adds to the complexity of the app in that one fix breaks something else or another model. Their Firmware and Software are a literal
show.
I haven’t bought anything after the V3 pan and will Not spend anything on Wyze products or services as they lost my trust long ago.
The Wyze cams I have and use are simply TOYS not meant for True Security. So I use them for watching animals in the barn and other non-security uses.
Cancelled my CamPlus Unlimited and went to the FREE CamPlus Lite for my Toy Wyze Cams
Much happier with Pro Consumer grade security cameras, haven’t had any issues unlike Wyze😁
Same problems here. I have a Pan V2 for some time already and has been so reliable. During the black friday sale, I bought through Amazon a bunch of Pan V3 and Cam V4 to replace all my Tapo cams at home, also because the Wyze cams capture wider angles. With the “no video available at this time” problems, I have regretted fully switching to Wyze.
Reformatting the SD cards works for a while but after a couple of days, the issue returns. FYI the Pan V2 has no issues at all.
Anyone else resolved the issue already? I’m from the Philippines so sending the Wyze cams back might not be an option.
If that’s the case, what you’re seeing is different than what was in this thread (which was a software glitch and has been fixed). If they work for a while then stop, that sounds like the cards themselves are having an issue. They could have just died, or they may have been fake cards, meaning they are lower capacity than advertised. When that happens, they will work fine until they hit their actual capacity, then stop.
Have you tried those cards in other devices? There are several ways to test for fake cards too.
I have two pan cameras v3 and experiencing the same issue as mentioned in this thread. One is about 18 months old and the other is two months old. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting options with no luck.
Sounds like a well known issue but almost not worth going into it with Wyze. I tried to send a message to their support through a ticket and they just come back with all of the troubleshooting options I’ve already tried.
My question is, has anyone moved onto the duo pan camera and if so, has anyone experienced this recording issue with that model?
Some are reporting that the issue of SD card not being recognized in the Panv3 has been fixed with the latest firmware, have you updated?
A few different SD issues are being discussed here, so it would help to know what your specific symptoms are.
Have not seen any reports of the Duo or the Panv4 having any SD card issues.
