Solar cam and notifications issue

Just installed cam today and it records events but it is not sending notifications to my phone. I think I got it set up right.

The screenshots are very helpful, and it looks like you’re doing the right things. :+1:

What do you see in the events history for this Cam? If it’s not generating events, then I wouldn’t expect notifications.

Are you receiving appropriate notifications from other Wyze Cams?

Did you check your OS settings and make sure notifications permission is granted to the Wyze app? It should prompt you but worth a check.

Isn’t that what the last two screenshots show? That’s how I interpreted those.

Ha, the second to last one didn’t stand out to me as I’m still on Android 14 which looks different. Totally missed the last one. I blame the :pig_face: coma.

(just realized I used those two words more than necessary).

If no go there, may have to uninstall and reinstall the app. I also recommend not using the wyze sounds (app provided sound) and just picking a system sound you like, as I also found the wyze ones to occasionally stop working or use the system default sound. You can leave it set to whatever you want in the app, it will basically override that setting if you change it at the OS level.

Those also look like Samsung’s style to me, and I don’t know what funky things Samsung might do to their Android variant as far as app permissions are concerned, so I think it’s still reasonable to ask.
