I have a Wyze Cam OG setup and running in my shed/garage. Was outside working on motorcycle when the siren went off on the camera for about 3 minutes straight. Well I figured it was my wife trying to get my attention so I asked her “what you want?” She did NOT activate the siren nor did I. What would cause the siren to go off for no reason?? I checked all the settings and can’t find anything. PLUS I did NOT receive any notification, event post, or anything about this event. Really makes me worry and wonder if this happens at any other times when I’m not around or close!? Any ideas or possible solutions to this problem?
What rules do you have running? What actual firmware is on the camera, and what actual app version do you use?
No rules to really to speak of other than turn on/off notifications. Version 3.1.0(6) on app and v1.0.84 on cam
Wow. I’m thinking about buying an OG.
I am interested in your resolution.
Honestly this is the FIRST problem I’ve had with the OG’s. Out of my 12+ cameras the OG’s are by far the best cameras I own. Ive got the Pan Scans, the OG’s, and several others from Wyze and an inferior competitor and the OG’s are the BEST investment by far. Don’t wait or hesitate - you won’t regret getting the OG’s.
not a paid or reimbursed advertisement - just a happy customer.
Thanks. I saw your previous recommendation post earlier.
Your topic was moved to the Beta category as your Cam OG is running beta firmware.
In the future, you should report beta anomalies in the associated beta announcement topic along with a log submission and Log ID for Wyze developers to examine. For example, your siren observation belongs in 3.1.5 app & Cam OG Firmware Beta Test 9/12/2024, which is where Wyze is actively looking for beta users reporting issues.
