This should be the wishlist request: Add Siren Activation to the notifications list in the Cam Settings.

offer the Wyze customer a variety of Siren sounds so they don’t have to go outside of the Wyze products.

Wyze is currently developing the ability for users to get different notification tones for each type of notification received. With the addition of Siren Activation to the notification list settings capability (your wish), the siren notification alert would then fall into this wishlist item as well as possibly the other two.

Different Alert Sound for Wyze Notifications

Right now the Wyze notification tones blend in with other phone notification tones (such as from games or messaging services). Some people would like for the notifications to stand out more and this is especially true for people using these for security or to watch their kids. Changing the notification sound will let people know that it isn’t a regular notification and that they should check the Wyze app. Best, WyzeGwendolyn MOD UPDATE:

Hi @lachlan6, could you explain a little more what you mean by customization in this context? Are you trying to change the title of the customization? If so, could you give the sensor a meaningful name (eg Doorbell) that will pop up in the notification? Or would something like discussed in the topic below satisfy this?

I’ve never heard of anything like this, but I can envision something like a automobile car horn or similar…although that will probably scare the [mod edit] out of you if you are sound asleep when it fires off at 3am!

Now we know why it needed to be approved!

I don’t have one yet, on my to-do list, but several users have used these sirens as a workaround to the lack of an HMS Siren.

Motion control tip for siren based on alarm mode

I wanted my Motion Detected Siren to be triggered by Motion sensors in accordance with the Home page shortcut rule modes of Disarmed. Home, or Away. I couldn’t use any of my V3 cams because they responded to leaf/light motion and person false identification. Add a loud Siren (also integrated with HMS)

@ken63 and any others trying to add an external siren: I found a way around the problem of how to arm/disarm it without having to go in and change multiple sensors every time - see below. It’s a bit clunky and is not integrated with HMS, but it does work! Attach a loud external alarm to a Wyze Plug (let’s call the plug “Siren”).
