My last night my alerts had a different ring tone.
But, I have not updated the app or devices in almost a month ?
Are the now automatic?
If so, how do I set it so, I can choose, instead.
Makes me really feel, big brother-ish. 
If you are on app 2.41.5 or higher, go to the account tab → notifications → push notifications → sounds → Then you can select either the phone default sound or the Wyze sound.
If you don’t see that as an option, update the app to the latest version.
