Why is this scale so terrible?
It’s in the same exact spot but if it moves a millimeter, the weight changes by 5-10 lbs. I mean in the space of 10 seconds. It’s so awful. I regret buying it.

Sorry to hear of your experience.
What kind of flooring do you have it on? Do you zero the scale out in between uses?
(if unfamiliar, zeroing out = Apply some pressure to the scale to wake it, let it read zero, then weight yourself)
I would also make sure there is no debris on or around the feet of the scale.
