Rules to turn on camera

I have a V3 cam set up to cover my living room. However, I only want it to trigger when the alarm is set to ‘Alarm Away’. I don’t want it to record anytime someone walks into the living room.

I don’t see any triggers based on the state of the alarm, am I missing something?

Any creative ideas about how to only record motion when the alarm is set?

I am not sure if your alarm status is referring to the HMS alarm or the CamPlus Pro alarm.

I have the HMS, so I can’t have the CPPro. There are no triggers or actions that can be used in Wyze Rules for the Alarm Disarmed\Home\Away status of the HMS. I can only assume that CPPro would be similar.

The HMS status is completely isolated from any type of automation short of the schedules that can be programmed in the Monitoring tab.

Short of using your GPS to do location geofencing to turn them on and off, I have just programmed a shortcut rule button to do it. Since I still have to open the app to change the Alarm status, I just press one more button.
