Revert to previous app 2.x

I don’t work for Wyze, but I might be able to help you switch back to the 2.5 app if you have Android. (I’ll post those instructions toward the end.

What kind of warning would you have preferred? They sent at least 5 emails about this new app coming out soon starting back in May. They also talked about it with social media posts, etc. So, they legitimately gave us nearly 2 months notice and multiple messages. I am not sure what other notice they can legally give that wouldn’t have people more upset about being “spammed” than happy to be notified differently. It does seem to me like 2 months of notifications is a reasonable effort to let people know though. That would allow people sufficient time to update their app store settings to tell it not to do automatic app updates for the Wyze app if they don’t want them. But it does seem like there were still a good amount of people who wish they’d been notified differently, so I am curious what ideas people have or would suggest to Wyze for HOW to notify people differently than the methods they currently use to disseminate information.

If you are on Android you can do this. Here are the steps

I don’t really use iOS, and it isn’t as flexible and as Android, but I think some people in the past have told me that Testflight might sometimes let people revert back to previous versions of apps, though I’m sure there is a limit and it will still eventually expire and force you to update to 3.0. Since this app has been in Beta for months already, it might already be too late and not have a 2.5 version available to switch to though. I don’t know what Testflight’s limitations are for app reversion.
