When I commented in that topic, I linked to another post where someone described buying velvet earpads from Amazon, so I’m tempted to try those. I’m also wondering about trying this:
I’ve bought that brand from Amazon before and have had a good experience with that purchase (replacement earpads for Sony MDR-V100). What I’m linking here are just covers and not full earpads, but I like the idea of washable fabric and might try those even if I have to source a third-party leather-like replacement.
