HI all, I’m new to wyze, I purchase a outdoor cam, but already feel a bit of regret. I see a lot of recently complaints and I realize that these types of formats can bring that about. My question is do you see wyze in a decline and would recommend anymore? I just don’t know if it is worth invest based on what I’m seeing so far and would like some feed back. I am asking people who are angry and fans-boys to take a step back and not reply to thing. because current emotions may over ride judgement. I also realize that there is a pandemic currently so they maybe short handed. I personally already had 2 issues and just wanted to know if this company is worth going further with. Thank you J

Touché. The world consists of informed, misinformed and uninformed opinions, each speaking for itself. That being said, I’ll bid you a fond adieu. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Since you seem uniformed about the SD card corruption issue here’s a running post on the matter  Just updated by another Wyze user, [image] Half of my cameras don't record or even recognize SD cards anymore Cameras I have the exact same issue and I believe it’s definitely a firmware issue. I only use SanDisk Extreme cards and the cards all work in other devices. Half of my cameras randomly stopped recognizing any card size above 64GB. If I install an old 64GB card it works fine. If I install the 256GB card it’s used for the last few years or a new 128GB card it doesn’t acknowledge the cards are even installed. I’ve tried all the tricks and resets and nothing resolves the problem. Tech support needs to look…

Does Reolink make micro SD cards?

I don’t think so. I know Wyze branded SD Cards had extremely short life spans  I use SanDisk High Endurance Video microSDXC Cards, made for dashcams and security cams in both my Wyze cams & Reolink cams

I had only one SD card fail; and it was a Wyze-branded one.

Oh, wait, look what I did, I did something! [image] [POLL] SD Card (Local Storage) Experience Cameras Which phrasing best describes the performance/experience of the Wyze Cam SD Card function? poll How often do you remove the SD card from the camera? poll For what purpose(s) do you remove it? poll Which size card do you use? poll Which speed card do you use? poll * The Wyze Brand 32 GB MicroSD card sold on Wyze’s website is in this category If you use the Wyze SD Card, what do you think? poll It’s old (but so am I) so I post.

[image] bryonhu: I use SanDisk High Endurance Video microSDXC Cards I like SanDisk too. My oldest SanDisk 32GB card ihas been set to Continuous Recording for 39 months and still working.

I have never had a SD card fail. I am sure it is bound to happen.

Ironically both my V3 Pans are showing no SD today… When I get a chance (low priority) I bet these SD’s need formatting to work again  Wyze sure brings the SUCK ! [Screenshot_20250507-083851]

Have you considered… individual karma? :face_with_tongue:
