Is anyone else having issues on startup after they have to turn off their cameras? I had to move some cameras the other day, one was with the latest beta and one not and the beta had to go through power cycles multiple times before it would finally connect. the lights worked flawlessly but even when it was solid blue the camera refused to turn on and would say it had the -90 error. I think it took me 15 minutes or so and multiple power cycles until it finally connected. it was only one the camera running the latest Beta firmware that did this.
Hello @Bam, when you moved the camera, was the connection strength between the camera and router weaker then before?
@mixonepa actually it’s now closer and has less obstruction then it had previously ( it had been in another room before) I keep reading about people having issues connecting but solving that issue by taking out the SD card to connect. (I believe my understanding of those posts were correct) I don’t know what that would change really and I have not tried that but its a thing people have done.
It may just be an issue with the beta build, if the problem continues to repo you can try going to the public release.
I had the same issue after unplugging. Light would get to solid blue but -90 error. Multiple power cycles and I did have to pull the card eventually. It then wasn’t recognized and I had to reformat it in my PC. It happened to a pan & two V2s, all on the newest beta versions.
its sounding like it might just be a beta bug. I’m glad I posted it in the right area. I didn’t end up pulling the card, it just took quite a few cycles and lots of patience.
Hey @mixonepa I had to move another camera today (with Beta firmware) and tried a different strategy. after plugging it back in I gave it a good 5-10 minutes before I even tried turning it on in the app and boom, it came right on. im thinking it might just take longer for the camera to get all its setup in place for some reason. hopefully if anyone else on beta is moving camera they arent in a hurry
Glad to hear that you got it working, the only explanation I would have for it taking longer in that spot is because the connection between the router and the camera may not be as strong as the other cameras.
I don’t think that would be the issue, its close than many of the other camera’s and has no obstruction from the router. there’s also nothing over there that would be causing any sort of signal disruption or EMI. it seems to be a beta ware thing as if there’s more to process on start up. Ill see after I upgrade to the latest beta
