I see the topic you’re talking about. That just means that the person who created the topic at some point marked a post further down in the thread as the solution to the problem or question posed in the original post. It’s not an indication that Wyze has actually resolved any issue.
That’s just the Forum software’s (Discourse’s) way of telling you that the post you’re composing might not contribute much to the discussion. It gives you the opportunity to continue or to choose to spend your time elsewhere. It’s kind of a courtesy feature, I think.
I think the way the Forum is configured, only certain categories have “solution” options. I also believe that in those categories only the original topic poster has the option to mark a post as a Solution:

Wyse cams are only useful IF you monitor them in person! The subscription service is a joke. Detection is a joke. By the time it detects an event, it’s pretty much over. If someone walks out, gets in a car and drives away, all you get is the car driving away. At least when the camera freezes you know it’s not working.
You can disagree all you want. It’s YOUR security that is at stake! Do you even test this stuff? Or are you waiting for somwthing bad to happen before you notice it? Example…
Someone came to pickup my wife. The car pulled in, right in front of the camera. My wife got in the car, and the car drove away. Nothing bad happened. Other than the Wyse cam 1000% missed that ENTIRE EVENT! For me that’s a problem! A car came and departed completely UNDETECTED! It missed a BIG CAR! Further testing proved ,the error rate of detection is a big problem. If you want to trust home security to a $30 nanny cam, that’s your choice. Anything short of a camera that records 24-7 IS NOT A SECURITY SYSTEM! These cameras work well, at a reasonable price, if you are monitoring them. They catch SOME events, NOT ALL OF THEM. Good luck!
Well, feel free to go make your own thread to be toxic on. This one is mine and I’m trying to get a specific issue resolved. Other than the one issue this thread is about, Wyze cameras meet my needs perfectly.
Then I’d suggest you get a security camera system that does not go thru the cloud 1st b4 sending you the data. I also use a 16 channel Lorex real time secuirty system that connects directly to my internet & records to DVR. It’s real time action & when it shows me someone driving up to the ft gates, I don’t miss a second.
That said, I agree w jbordelon… this is his thread & it’s about playback freezing on the OG Cameras. We all are trying to & wanting to get OUR issue resovled.

Oh, I didn’t know that. I guess I got lucky. I saw someone mention it was out on the Facebook page so I opened the (Apple) app store and it was there so I clicked update.
Really!? I recieved an email last week introducing app v3 & an email yesterday that it was out. That’s wonderful this update has solved our issue
What do you think of V3 app? I checked it out in the apple app store yesterday but backed out of downloading it. Since it’s such a wide update w alot of changes to I think I’ll hold out until it’s been out for awhile. I’m “update” shy w Wyze updates as they end up breaking something else.

Same. I’m anxious to see if this solves my OG problem too but was afraid of screwing something else up. I’ll hold off a while until we get more feedback on the new app.
The only thing that looks different to me is the new favorites page and they got like two more screens converted to dark mode. I only have 4 cameras (2 OG and 2 v4) and two light bulbs but everything is working great. I’m happy with the app other than the lackluster attempt at dark mode. I don’t understand what that is taking so long to finish.
Oh and they changed the app icon so I keep getting my notifications mixed up with Webex but that’s just something I’ll have to get used to.
Some improvements but the ability to easily scroll though recordings on SD is a huge step backward. Clumsy scroll. Used to have a timeslide plus the 30sec back/forward. Hope another update is on the way soon. The SD scrolling was fine in the previous version. Not sure why they changed it (for the worse).
