Playback date changes to 1969 and won’t play

I have several cams (v2, original pan, V3 pan) and all have SD cards to capture playback. On most of them (probably all) if I go to playback (using my iPhone) and to the most recent event, the date changes to “Dec 31, 1969” and won’t play. If I slightly move forward in the green record bar, the date changes to the actual date, an image flashes, and then when I let go, it goes back to 1969. This happens about 90% of the time on each type of camera I have.

All cameras have up to date firmware, my iPhone app is up to date and my IOS is up to date.

I captured a screen recording of it happening, but I can’t add attachments as a “new user”.

Any ideas as to what’s wrong?

Never heard of that. Maybe clear the cache in the app, and if that doesn’t work, uninstall/reinstall it.

I have seen that happen once with Wyze. Maybe when it saves the files to µSD while off of the Internet. I think PCs used to default to 01-01-1980 when it couldn’t find the date.

Try formatting the SD card. It probably has a few files with wrong dates.

So basically it does what the OG and others should do after losing internet…

If that is the case, then agreed that a format of the card is the way to go.

The Dec 31, 1969 error is the main problem with Wyze cameras. All of my cameras of all versions get this error on both the iPhone and iPad. When I really need to see playback (like when a cop is waiting to see the image) I have to press the 30s Backward and 30s Forward buttons repeatedly until the video plays. CAN SUPPORT HELP WITH THIS ISSUE, PLEASE.
