The story was they were going to completely remove the ability to view the doorbell via Alexa and Echo Shows because the camera didn’t have the power to rotate the image and they were tired of people complaining. I don’t know if that has changed.

You have got to be kidding. That should be an easy fix. Rotate the video in the software for export to cloud or other devices.
