Person events only detected as Motion

My Pan v3 and v3 pro cameras, with Cam Plus service no longer recognize Person events. People are just Motion. I did change ISP and router yesterday but that shouldn’t cause the Wyze servers to mis-analyze my images. Per email with support everything is updated, pwr cycled, reset, resynched, yada-yada amen. None of the rituals I can perform solve the problem.

You might want to check if you are limited to 5 minute cooldown and 12 seconds events. I ran into an issue where couple of my V3 cameras wasn’t on Cam Plus even though I selected it on their website. In the end I had to delete the cameras from my app and set it up all over again. Now everything works properly.

I think there’s something wrong with Wyze’s backend system.

Thanks, I’ve already done deletion/add cameras & reassigned their Cam Plus service. Cooldown is not a factor. The servers simply aren’t recognizing people.

My cameras have now recorded clearly visible & recognizable dogs and the notifications only tag them as Motion. Support has no update since I provided details for my complaint 3 days ago.

With minimal help from Xfinity and none from Wyze, I found the solution to my Smart Event problem. If the firewall setting of Xfinity’s XB7 Gateway is set to Maximum Security, events are not properly analyzed. Reconfiguring my Xfinity gateway to Typical Security fixed my recognition and notification issues with Cam Plus service.
