Pan Cam V4 Disappointment

I have it plugged into a Wyze Lamp Socket V1. Just read here today that there’s a difference in wattage and amperage on the V2 Lamp Socket. Perhaps that’s the problem? Can anyone confirm?

I think that’s the problem, or at least part of it, and you’re not the first user to have Cam Pan v4 problems because you’re using an under-powered power supply.^[1][2] Lamp Socket v2’s USB port is rated for 5V ⎓ 2A output, which is what Cam Pan v4 expects to see. Lamp Socket v1’s power output is 5V ⎓ 1A. See the comparison chart.

I hope that you have better results with “conventional power” and that you’re using a power supply with the appropriate amperage!

   that’s interesting because the specs on the actual plugs say 2A, which is plenty. Now I have to APOLOGIZE to everyone for I realized why one of my two cameras kept failing. It’s on a extension cord with two other and when I re-ran the cables I ended up plugging the pan 4 into a 1 amp power supply which was therefore a standard V4, not the pan cam. so it was not connected to the proper 2A power supply. 2. Wyze Product Release - 8/26/2025

   WYZE mesh router pro. You may not have seen my other post but I discovered my disconnects were coming because I’ve got 8 Wyse cameras and 2 from other vendors and I got the cables mixed up and had this PAN V4 plugged into a 1A power supply, rather than the 2A which came with it and is obviously needed in order to function consistently.
