I think it is the new Firmware. You can test that by joining the Beta Group. If you are interested you can go here: Become a Beta Tester for Wyze Products & Releases
For the iPhone, you will have to install testFlight and then you can install beta Apps as well. Once you join the Beta, assuming you do, you can go to the app and then tap on Account > About > Beta Program and then Check the devices you would like Beta Firmware for. I select all, but you need to be aware that not all devices can be rolled back to a previous Firmware version.
Also, on iOS, you can remove the beta app at anytime and then go to the Apple Store and install the prod version. This is a nice feature in iOS as Android it is a bit more difficult.
I also believe they will be releasing the updated Firmware in the near future, but not sure of exactly when. I am a community member as you and not an employee, so not privy to that information.
